Extremely well maintained shop, friendly staff. One note: make sure you know what you are selling them and how much it should sell for. If you are bringing in a stack, make sure to know the price of that stack so they don't spout off an arbitrary number.

Sometimes buyers may find a handful of hard to find gems here, but the customer support/friendliness of the staff proves borderline don't care. I had the owner run me out of the store when i didn't pay 5 dollars to mingle in the game room, yet i spent 50 dollars on products. Very poor customer care. I was told either to pay 5 dollars or leave, if i payed the 5 dollars i couldn't even have played just watched....

The owner was very condescending and made it seem like every question I had was the dumbest question ever asked. I asked about possibly the store having a Rose Bowl program from 2005 and the owner just about chastised me for asking such an idiotic question. "Why don't you just look on ebay...I guarantee you can get one for 5 bucks!...maybe I have a 1965 program...now that's worth something." "Porky" really spends way too much time in his store and forgot to work on his social graces and people skills. Politeness instead of sarcasm would've brought me back as a repeat customer. I'm going to take my business and referrals (Yes, Porky, I have many fellow sports fans/clients) to Valley Sports Cards down the road.

Good store. Went looking for 50's-60's singles to fill my set want lists. Owner has multiple binders of commons from almost every year. Was able to pick out a bunch of '55s and '65s that I needed. Got them at something like 30-40% of book value. Has some pre-WWII inventory too, but not a big selection - for example I specifically asked about Zeenuts, but they didn't have any. Still though, good shop and I will be back.

Been to Webb's a few times, usually when I head back to Knoxville for football games. Shop is very tightly packed. He has a lot of stuff crammed in there, but kind of hard to find stuff. The selection of vintage material is not up to my standards. There are practically no pre-WWII cards the last time I checked. Prices seem high to me, but not sure how much the owner negotiates. Owner is usually nice enough to chat with though. Be sure to pet his greyhound if you stop by.

Extremely well organized and clean shop. Everything is in his computerized database which may be both good (easier to find stuff you need) and bad (harder to get deals on groups of cards?) for buyers. Inventory includes a lot of vintage singles including many Pre-WWII cards (T206's, Diamond Stars, Goudeys, etc.). Also has binders of 50's-70's commons for filling set want lists. Prices seemed high to me, but not sure how much owner is willing to negotiate on price.

Would recommend it to locals simply because it's the only local shop. However, the store is focused on modern cards and has limited vintage material (even with a large vintage buy recently). They have practically no cards that are pre-WWII. Shop is packed tight (was downsized several years ago) and is pretty disorganized. But if you're willing to flip through boxes of cards and have some free time you can probably find some gems and stuff you need.

This place is a joke. Rick the owner is very rude and doesn't have a clue about the sports card market. And DO NOT go into this store looking for a deal. His prices make Berkshire stock look cheap. One more thing - don't expect to get fair market value for your trade or buy. If you're lucky you might get 5% of the going rate. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. You'll thank me later.

The loudest and rudest customers, asking me questions that was none of thier business. Been a collector for 40plus years, worst experience i have ever had in a card shop or show. The owner is very friendly. Will go out of his way to assist you. I first found PJ's in Chula Vista, Ca from a co-worker that colleted baseball. That's when I first moved to San Diego in DEC 99. I only collected a few years, then in APR 06, I started back up. Been a loyal customer ever since. PJ's does not sale too much basketball, but he does keep up with the few collectors demanding needs. Even when we drop in unexpected. Alot of of customers are Serving in the Navy. Lots of kids go there for the game cards too. You can always catch them on the weekends.

Okay, the survey is inaccurate. My ratings were 1-5 w/5 being poor. Store appearance = no, organization = no, overall inventory was 3, modern releases 5, vintage releases 4, supplies = 3, Staff = 5 (more like 7, Recommend = no, rating = poor due to attitude, appearance & untidy property & establishment. Looked more like an adult book store one would see in the TV show Baretta.

Growing up in the 80's, this was THE place....as time went on, they moved to a larger location but also moved their inventory more towards gaming cards. There is very few single cards, vintage or modern and forget getting older boxes. If its older than 2 or 3 years, they dont carry it. They do have a plethora of gaming cards and products. They also have a good chunk of products to store your stuff, but again, a lot of it seems to be geared towards gaming storage.

Bob's used to be a good shop. Now it has become a haven for Magic players and high end pack busters. The selection of current "hot" cards is non-existent and if you ask for something you will likely get an answer like, "I have it here somewhere, but I don't know where." Unorganized display cases of singles make it difficult to find anything. If you like to buy the high end packs like Exquisite or National Treasures, this place is for you. If you are looking for singles, rookies, or GU then go somewhere else.

I didn't even know this place existed and I have lived in Cookeville for 17 years! A classmate of my son's had told him about the guy selling sports cards there so we made the short trip last weekend. The guy was very friendly and professional with my son who is 11 years old. The guy was really helpful and you can tell he knows sports and loves to talk with customers. My son had visited another card shop in Cookeville near TTU's campus called Bob's, but he wasn't treated nearly as well as it seemed as though a few guys there were spending big bucks and getting all the attention from the owner. I'm no collector, but I can tell from the way the guy at the Hwy 111 Mini Mall does business that he is a pro! I would recommend any sports collectors to pay him a weekend visit. I wish I had asked for a business card to have his contact info, but my son and I plan to visit regularly anyway. Overall, we had a great time!

This store is in major need of renovation. Tucked in a small strip mall next to a barbershop, it has nothing a current card collector would be looking for, unless you want parallels of recent football and baseball cards. The amount of recent wax is limited, but they are willing to negotiate so long as you have cash. Owner seems knowledgeable about his own store, but not much else. I honestly can't imagine this store staying open another 2 years. They must do a lot of online sales that I dont know about.

Awesome shop! The best shop I have been to in years. The only drawback is that the shop is inside a large Flea Market and only open on weekends. This guy has an incredible inventory of singles: rookies, high grade vintage, multi colored game used, and autographs. He always sells everything 25%-75% off of Beckett value. Has a great selection of packs also. Has pictures lining the walls of all the great customer pulls. The guy loves to talk sports and is really knowledgeable. I would recommend a weekend visit to this shop to any collector!

The shop is pretty nice but the owner has a very odd personality. Almost too eager to convince me that he runs an honest business. I picked up three packs of a product and he made sure to say that he doesn't allow pack searching. If you touch a pack, you buy it. Very odd considering he has display cases full of high end patches and autos. I used to stop in and buy a Beckett when I passed through for work but now I don't stop at all. I just got a strange vibe from that place.

Sky high prices. Employees chase kids out of the store, in favor of adults who purchase hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise. The only upside is that they get their merchandise on time. Atmosphere is toxic and you will get ripped off.

This is hands down the best baseball card store a-n-d memorabilia store I have ever been to. Fantastic display of modern and vintage cards for all sports (even hockey). As for memorabilia, I have never seen a store this beautiful and with variety of auto'd items. Nice selection of UDA, Steiner, etc., and they have good signings. The just had Ditka! Who gets Ditka? Big and beautiful. Nice people too. All stores should be like this.

Me and my brother stop by BBC Galaxee to buy their mystery game used/ autograp grab bags. Its only $5 and weve gotten some great cards in them. Everytime pack has a game used or autographed Baseball card for $5. My friend even got a hot pack with 2 game used and my best picks are Arod game used Nolan Ryan autograph. My brother pulled a Johan and Pedro too.

A little pricey .... they tend to charge full price for cards, even if the card's condition isn't worthy of the price. Packs are a little too expensive, too - a 2008 Topps Heritage is $2.99 at Target, but is $3.99 at Sports Cards Etc. A very good and diverse selection, though, and a large amount of non-card items as well (plaques, NASCAR models, etc), and they carry a good selection of hobby magazines such as Beckett and Sports Card Digest.

This is the best card shop in the Valley! "Super" Dave and Mike are Phoenix's experts in cards. Plus, they're one of the few shops that actually buys cards; they are always looking for vintage cards, and if you have other stuff, you may consider putting it on their "bid board" (auctions Wednesday night, and twice on Saturday afternoon) or renting a case. In the current sports card market, shops come and go; you don't hang around for a few decades without knowing your stuff and treating your customers fairly. The Batters Box gets top marks in all categories!

The shop is decent. It is one of very few choices in the area. The prices are about average and the selection is ok (although, I wish they would stock a wider variety of products). The lady who tends the cash register (I am assuming the owner or wife of the owner) seems to lack a little on the people skills. She is friendly, but it always feels like she wants us to get what we are going to get and get out. Overall, it is a decent place to visit...typical hobby shop prices...I only wish the selection and atmosphere were better.

They have very little in the way of current cards for sale, both in packs and boxes. My other main issue is customer service, or lack thereof. Their is one saleperson at the front who only knows about comic books. I also had a very bad experience with another salesperson. First I was practically shoved out of the way so this employee could restock Becket magazines, then I was told to not look up my cards in the Beckett. I had two cards in my head I was looking up and had planned on purchase the book anyway, but I quickly dropped the packs of cards I had been intending to purchase, about $50 worth, and left the store, never to return.

This guy has been in business for a long time. The last few years he has gotten the reputation for ripping people off. He has a small group of high end pack buyers that he allows to search packs then he combines the remaining packs from 3 or 4 boxes into one and puts the packs out for sale! Totally dishonest! Has a good selection of low grade vintage singles but they are overpriced. Not a very good selection of game-used or autographs. Tends to deal more in comics and gaming cards like Magic. Sad to see a good shop go downhill like this. I no longer shop there after almost 20 years of buying from Bob. I now save my money and go to the Flea Market on the weekends and deal with the guy at Heroes & Legends.

Great place to shop they have a large assortment of collectible supplies. Toploaders, sleeves, cardboard. Plus they carry comics and vintage toys. Very cool place. I would highly recommend.

Huge selection, one of the workers kept on following me around say you ok, you ok, told him I am looking, just checking the store out and when i stopped by a counter where a worker was sorting cards, asked a question and did not get an answer even though he looked right at me. Congratulated the owner I believe on selling the Mcfarlane 1 of 3 Babe Ruth and expected a nice conversation but got yeah that was nice. You just sold a $ 10 toy for $ 13,600 and it was nice. Do not know what to expect. I will still go there since they have a huge selection and have the supplies I need but probably would not do business there again if other options. I expect more from workers, like talking about products, giving suggestions, generally liking to talk about collecting. Do not get that with this store. It seems like it is only $$$. One guy came in with a binder and they quickly looked through it and said sorry nothing we want.

If you like vintage.multisport this is your hot spot the owner cut me a great deal the store offers very unique items and if your in to the newer stuff its ok because there's thousands of them. The store also majors in unique relics rc's signatures and memorbilia. My personally best store I laid a foot in.

This is an awesome store. It huge and has almost anything you'd need relating to sports memorabilia and cards. He has a very wide selection of autograph memorabilia from all sports and teams (framed and unframed jerseys, helmets, baseballs, photos, plaques, to include NASCAR). When traveling to Texas, I would routinely go out of my way to stop in and see what new things they have. I would highly recommend this store, and their Oklahoma City store (in Quail Springs Mall) to anyone looking for cards and memorabilia. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Just moved in area this year and discovered this shop. It was a pleasant discovery, the owner ordered specific supplies for me on my first visit and called to inform me of their arrival. He carries a good mix of vintage cards and new releases as well as new release wax products( including some high ticket wax). He also runs monthly in store auctions amongst his customers, which was a refreshing idea that I enjoyed participated in.
