We wanted to tell card collectors from around the world about one of the newest card shops in the U.S.A.  Pal’s Sports cards in Andover, Minnesota opened in late July 2010 and is looking forward to becoming a big part of the collecting scene with area collectors and those passing through.  When you stop in at Pal’s, you’ll find everything a card collector could possibly need:  a quality selection of modern releases, modern and vintage singles,  hobby supplies, and autographed memorabilia to name a few.

     

We are very excited to see new stores break onto the collecting scene, especially a hobby shop who can provide the collector an experience that enhances everything that is great about this amazing hobby.  Pal’s Sports Cards owners, Starla and Brian, encourage collectors to stop in, pull up a chair and shift through the numerous boxes of cards throughout the store.  Pal’s is a family-friendly store and is a great place for the younger collector as well as the hard-core bargain hunter to come and add new pieces to the collection.

Time to highlight one of our favorite shops in Iowa, Grandslam Collectibles in Cedar Rapids. This sportscard shop has just about anything the hardcore collector could possibly want or need. Located in Lindale Mall, Grandslam Collectibles carries all the latest hobby releases from every major sport, rare and vintage cards, supplies, price guides, memorabilia and many other sports collectibles. Collectors often ask us, any big hits from the wax? Glandslam's owner, Mike, sent us a picture of one of the bigger recent hits pulled from his store.

One of the main reasons to visit Grandslam Collectibles is to stop by and talk with Mike. He makes all collectors, from hardcore to beginner, feel like they are a valued customer. Whether stopping by to pick up the latest release or just to talk cards with Mike and other area collectors who call the shop home, you will feel like you have been there a million times.

Mike also runs the Lindale Mall card show. The show has 40 tables and attracts some of the best local dealers who display a variety of cards from all of the major sports and many non-sports releases as well. The show is free admission and held inside the concourse of the mall.
